Our guide will meet you at your lodge, port, or airport in Dar es Salaam. From there, you will drive to Selous Game Reserve and stop for lunch at a lodge on the periphery of the reserve. After lunch, you will proceed to the Rufiji River for boating. You will spend the night at a lodge within or on the periphery of the park.
Spend the entire day exploring Tanzania’s largest national park. The vast area is home to endangered wild dogs (painted wolves) and members of the “Big Five” except for the rhinoceros. You can easily spot other African wild animals such as hippopotamuses, hyenas, wildebeests, antelopes, greater kudu, elands, among others. You will spend the night at a lodge within or on the periphery of the park.
Canoe on the Rufiji River, one of the largest rivers in Tanzania, in the morning to watch the sunrise. After a late breakfast, you will set off from Selous and drive to Mikumi. You will arrive at your lodge in the evening for overnight accommodation.
Spend the entire day touring Mikumi National Park, the fifth biggest national park in Tanzania. The park has vast wild areas in which you can spot animals like elephants, giraffes, hippopotamuses, lions, and hyenas. Although rare to spot, cheetahs, wild dogs, and leopards are also present. You will have a picnic lunch on arrival at the park before touring the park for the rest of the day. You will spend the night at a lodge within or on the periphery of the park, depending on your choice.
After an early breakfast in Mikumi, we will drive to Ruaha National Park, the second-largest national park in Tanzania. You will have an evening tour in the national park, followed by overnight accommodation in a lodge located within the park.
Spend the entire day touring Tanzania’s second-largest national park, home to 10% of the world’s remaining lion population. This park also has the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania. Apart from rhinoceros, almost all large mammals are found in Ruaha. You will spend the night at a lodge located within the national park.
After an early breakfast in the park, you will exit and have two options to reach Dar es Salaam: option 1, fly from Iringa town to Dar es Salaam, or option 2, drive back to Dar es Salaam via Mikumi and Morogoro.
